Helga Burchfield's WWII Memoir: Life as a child in Kassel, Germany

As part of the World War II Speech activity in the long Anne Frank in the Historical Context of the Holocaust unit lesson plan, a student asked her grandmother, Helga Burchfield, about her experiences. growing up during WWII. Helga's experiences were very unique: she had grown up as a child during the Nazi regime, living in Kassel, Germany. Helga hand-wrote her response which the student xeroxed to hand in as part of her bibliography for her speech.
